Yeah after year Tacoma CC puts talented and deep teams on the field. On the mound, in the field and at the plate, the talent is always there and because of that Tacoma is a tough match up for any team that they face. I look for Tacoma to be just as competitive in 2021 and beyond.

Key Returning Position Players
Mason Fritsch INF – Fritsch is a LHH with some pop. A 6.9 runner, he is a plus defender with good arm strength. He will likely play 3B, but has the ability to play all 3 INF positions.
Josh Trujillo OF – Trujillo is a true CF with 6.6 speed with the ability to track down anything hit his way. He has made a jump with the bat and shows sneaky power. Committed to Old Dominion University (VA)
Key Returning Pitchers
Kyle Dunning RHP – Has made a jump since last year, FB will get up to 91 from his 3/4 Arm slot with the ability to command his secondary pitches. Will play a key role either in the rotation or top guy out of the bullpen.
Dyson Johnson RHP – A 3rd year Soph due to COVID, Johnson has been up to 92 with improved command. He shows quality secondary stuff and is expected to be an impact arm this Spring.
Impact freshman/transfers
Jackson VanDeBrake INF – VanDeBrake has the tools to be a great player. He’s athletic, runs, defends and shows upside with the bat. His brother, Justin, was the top hitter in the NWAC for the Titans in 2019 and is now at WSU. Jackson will be a key staple in middle for the Titans this Spring.
Zach Smith OF – There are others with better tools but Smith is just a baseball player. Shows a hit tool with 6.9 speed and he just keeps getting better after coming from a small high school. Smith looks to impact the Titan lineup with his bat this Spring.
Expectations for 2021
“We had our 1st full team practice in 11 months in mid-February and it might have been the best practice we have ever had. Not because of the execution or our talent level, but because of how much joy and excitement it brought our guys to get back out there as a group. After everything our guys have gone through, like many other teams, I’m just excited to get the opportunity to watch our guys compete this Spring as they deserve it.’ Head Coach Ryan Mummert
