Cascade Collegiate Conference

Lewis-Clark State starts off the 2022 season going 4-0. They defeated Westmont 5-3, Vanguard 16-3, Hope International 5-4 and 2-1. The pitching would get LC State going this year as they did not allow any opponent to score more than 4 runs. Chavarria would have a strong start against Hope International going 7 IP, striking out 6 and only allowing 1 earned run. Shubert would collect 2 saves on this opening weekend as well.

Eastern Oregon would have a rough start to 2022 losing 18-3 against MidAmerica Nazarene but would bounce back to go 2-2 on this opening weekend. They would defeat Embry-Riddle 8-1 and Oklahoma Panhandle State 16-12, but fall to Benedictine Mesa 16-11. In the win against Embry-Riddle Jennings, Myers and Brown would combine to only give up 5 hits and 1 run. In the win against Oklahoma Panhandle State 9 hitters would collect hits (19 total for the team), with the top of the lineup Gerding, Dyer and Garcia combining for 8 hits, 9 runs and 8 RBIs.

College of Idaho would come away with a solid weekend going 3-1 to start 2022. They would open with a 7-4 win against Embry-Riddle, a 10-8 win over Oklahoma Panhandle State, 9-7 win over San Diego Christian but would fall to Kansas Wesleyan 16-6. Kirby Robertson would have a big weekend knocking in a run in each of the 4 games and ending with a total of 9 RBIs. Jonah Hultberg would also chip in 8 hits and 7 RBIs over the weekend.

Oregon Tech would travel to Redding, CA to take on Simpson in a four game series. Oregon Tech would take the weekend going 3-1, scoring 38 total runs in the series. Keelean knocked in 9 RBIs including 5 in one game. On the mound Dubray had a strong start to the season going 7 IP, not allowing a run and striking out 14.
