When you know that every season you are going to play against some of the best teams in the NWAC, you approach every practice and game with an intensity needed to get better. For Skagit Valley they started off 2020 going 8-4 and were looking to be in the thick of the conversation for the playoffs. They enter 2021 looking to continue what they had built.

Key Returning Players
James Anderson (RF) and Austin Willson (SS) are two impact returners who have shown great leadership on and off the field. Look for both to be key producers in the field and at the plate. Both are committed to play at Montana State Billings.
Hibiki Ouchi – C – Ouchi gives Skagit a dependable catcher behind the dish and lock down the middle of the order. His production will be key to Skagit’s success in 2021.
Key Returning Pitchers
Trevor Cassell, Payton Robertson, Kyle Kresicher, and Ryan Morrill are all big arms that will need to step into their roles and lead the Skagit staff this year. With a younger group of pitchers, these four sophomores will be leaned upon to be leaders to freshmen class.
Key Incoming freshman/trasnfers
Judah Graham – LHP – Graham enters 2021 with a chance to earn a starting spot within the Skagit pitching staff. His addition gives the staff additional depth with a young group on the mound.
Hayden Byorick – Byorick steps in as a middle of the lineup hitter who has the ability to do damage in every at bat. He has the opportunity to anchor the lineup for a couple years.
2021 Expectations
“We have a Sophomore heavy group with lots of leadership and experience. These guys have basically been through two off-seasons without being able to play a full season and I can tell they are ready to get after it. We are excited about the competitive schedule of the North Region.” Head Coach Shane Servoss
