Each year when discussions start as to which teams will be contenders for the NWAC title the Bellevue Bulldogs come up on regular basis. Each and every year the Bulldogs put teams on the field that compete within the outstanding North Region.
Head Coach: Mark Yoshino
Key Returning Position Players
Nick Hovlan – 3b – Hovlan has already proven he can hit for average in his time at Bellevue. He is a true 3B with his body, arm, range, and glove. In the shortened 2020 season Hovlan hit .455 and named pre season All American
Marques Titialii – Utl – Titialli is a converted pitcher who finished 2nd in K’s in the NWAC but is having to change due to elbow surgery. He is one of the most most athletic Bulldogs and can defend, run and hit for power at plate.
Key Returning Pitchers
Trevin Hope – Although coming off of TJ surgery, Hope is going to get plenty of looks from pro scouts due to his 6’7″ frame and his ability to throw strikes while topping 90 MPH.
Key Impact Freshman
Josiah Santiago – Utl – A switch hitter who has all the intangibles and has shown a complete all around game. He is a table-setter who can hit, run, field anywhere. His talent is going to push him into the Bulldogs lineup on a regular basis.
2021 Expectations
“We feel it is one of our best clubs in the last 30 years due to the depth with all of the covid sophomore returners.” Head Coach Mark Yoshino
