In my 6 years of covering NWAC baseball Edmonds has been one of the most consistent and competitive teams I’ve covered across the conference. Every year their pitching staff stands out with a deep and talented group from the starters through the relievers. Look for the Tritons to once again come out and be a key team in the very deep North Region.

Key Returning Position Players

Dylan Cyr – CF – He is a physical player with power from both sides of the plate. A great defender that can change a game defensively as well.

Shea Thomas – SS – Thomas is a very smooth defender and can play a variety of INF spots, He will play mostly SS for the Tritons this spring. He will hit in the middle of the lineup this spring, with increased pop and off gap power expect good power numbers this spring.

Key Returning Pitchers

Taylo Derouin – RHP – Has had the most consistent fall and early spring on the mound. He will compete every pitch and always give Edmonds a chance to win when he takes the mound.

Oliver Laufman – RHP – Committed to Central Arkansas, Laufman has gained velocity and expect him to compete for the front of the rotation again this spring.

Impact Freshman/Transfers

Evan Berry – OF – Very physical left handed hitter is expected to hit in the top of the order and utilize his speed and aggressive swings at the plate.

Matt Erickson – C – Erickson is a transfer Santa Clara. He has a power bat, with incredible bat speed. His good catch and throw skills coupled with plus arm strength will help to slow down opposing teams run game.
