With the West Coast League going full speed in Washington and Oregon, players and coaches are having to quickly learn their team and find ways to win games. Yakima Valley Pippins have started the strongest so far in June going 5-1 this past week, including 5 in a row to put their overall record at 7-2 to start the season. The Pippins currently lead the North Division and have the best record in the WCL.

In the South Division, Corvallis ended the week with a 3 game winning streak, putting them in first place but only with the slimmest of leads as Ridgefield, Cowlitz and Portland are all within 1 game of the Knights.

Travis Bazzana has been the hottest hitter in the league as he has hit .464 so far in Corvallis’ first 6 games of the year.

Will Chambers, Ridgefield Raptors, has come into the season hitting the ball with power as he currently leads the WCL with 4 homeruns.

Dylan Bishop (Yakima), Kenny Johnson (Yakima), and Keegan Wright (Cowlitz) currently lead the league in wins with 2 each.

Eric Romo currently leads the league in saves with 3.
