Yakima Valley Pippins have started the strongest so far in June going 5-1 this past week, including 5 in a row to put their overall record at 7-2 to start the season. The Pippins currently lead the North Division and have the best record in the WCL.
In the South Division, Corvallis ended the week with a 3 game winning streak, putting them in first place but only with the slimmest of leads as Ridgefield, Cowlitz and Portland are all within 1 game of the Knights.
Travis Bazzana has been the hottest hitter in the league as he has hit .464 so far in Corvallis’ first 6 games of the year.
