What are some areas of your game that you have been focusing on lately to improve upon?
I have been focusing on my diet and body a lot recently, really emphasizing the gym and watching what I eat. When it comes to baseball mechanics I have been very focused on being less tense and not being max effort in my throws and swings on the diamond. This helps me create better mechanics more consistently and keeping my body loose has helped with velo and power.
What are some goals you hope to reach in the next year or couple of years?
My goals at Mt. Hood are to win an NWAC title with my teammates and to move on to a Division 1 or Division 2 school after my time at Mt. Hood.
How long have you been playing baseball and what got you started in the game?
I have been consistently playing baseball since my beginning years of elementary school. I got into the game through my friends and watching the game as a kid.
What are some of your favorite things about the game of baseball?
I love the mental toughness this game takes as well as the feeling and sound of crushing a baseball.
Who in your life has helped push you to be your best on the field?
I’ve always been overlooked and those who have counted me out or doubted me have helped push me to be my best. I love being the underdog and proving people wrong.
