Great Northwest Athletic Conference

Western Oregon vs St Martin’s – In a four game series Western Oregon would take care of business sweeping the weekend. Western Oregon has already secured a place in the GNAC tournament and will face Northwest Nazarene next weekend in a four game series at home with the chance to take the regular season title but would need a sweep of the weekend.

Biola vs Northwest Nazarene – Northwest Nazarene would host Biola for a four game series and Biola would play them tough all weekend long and return to California with a split of the series. For Northwest Nazarene they have already secured a berth to the GNAC tournament but will need to take care of business against Western Oregon to lock up the regular season title.

Montana St Billings vs Central Washington – Matching up for a four game series both teams would get their day to shine as Montana State would sweep the double header on Friday, with Central Washington returning the favor on Saturday. Central Washington has secured the #3 seed in the GNAC Tournament.

Northwest Conference

George Fox vs Pacific – With just two wins this weekend Pacific would clinch the NWC regular season title and they would get both of those wins right away sweeping Saturday’s double header to clinch the title. They would split Sunday’s double header but regardless of that outcome Pacific is the NWC regular season champion and will host the NWC tournament this upcoming weekend as the #1 seed.

Lewis and Clark vs Whitworth – With a slim chance of still earning the 4th spot in the NWC standings Whitworth would need a sweep to give themselves a chance but it wouldn’t be as they would end up splitting the weekend with Lewis and Clark.

Puget Sound vs Whitman – Looking to lock up the #4 seed and get things rolling heading into the tournament, Whitman would stumble against Puget Sound as the Loggers would take 3 out of 4. For Whitman the outcome does give them enough to clinch the 4th spot but the stumble takes them into the tournament trying to find their A game.

Pacific Lutheran vs Linfield – Looking to lock up the #2 seed Pacific Lutheran came out in this 4 game series and took care of business earning the sweep and the #2 seed. Jonathan Cohen would have a great outing for Pacific Lutheran going 7 innings, only allowing 2 hits and no runs.

Cascade Collegiate Conference

The first ever Cascade Collegiate Conference tournament was played this weekend and history was made. Top seeded LC State went 3-0 claiming the first ever Conference Tournament championship and moving on to the NAIA tournament. Brock Ephan would collect 9 hits in the 3 games including a 5-5 game to clinch the championship.

Corban University was able to defeat the #2 seed Oregon Tech in a 13 inning thriller to open the conference tournament. This victory followed by Oregon Tech’s defeat to LC State would grant Corban their first ever berth to the NAIA tournament. Corban would play a pair of tight games against LC State in hopes of winning the conference tournament but it wouldn’t be, but for the Warriors earning the berth means their season will continue on.
