What things did you see from the team in the fall?

This fall offered one of the deepest rosters we have had in program history. The guys did a great job showing up daily with intent to improve their game individually and help continue to build upon the foundation of the program for the upcoming season. We believe we have depth at multiple positions that will allow us to win games in a multitude of ways. There is a still a lot of work to be done by our guys over the next couple of months, but we are excited about getting back on the field in January with this group.

What was the focus during the fall for the team?

Our focus for every fall stays the same regardless of the team. It provides us with a great opportunity to get all of our players on the field together for a handful of weeks, set the expectations for our season, and get them comfortable with each other. During that process, we challenge our players to improve upon multiple facets of their games. We are lucky to have a full fall of practices that allows us to achieve a lot of growth headed into the spring.

What are the expectations and goals for the team entering the season?

Our expectation is to compete for a win in every game we play starting opening day. All teams aspire to win a conference, regional, and World Series and we are no exception to that. However, that starts with us finding ways to compete at a championship level each and every day. If we can achieve a mindset where we can find ways to win from Day 1 we will place ourselves in a much better situation to achieve our end goals.
