Who are some key returning position players and what do you hope to see from them this year?
Daniel Kahn (UT), Bodey Smith (OF), Garrett Moen (OF), Brett Joner (C), Branden Pasion (1B), In general, we are just older and excited about the experience in the lineup, guys who have college resumes and return from a co-championship team a year ago.
Who are your key returning pitchers and why?
Skylar Manelski (R), Andrew DelBiaggio (R), John Over (L), Jackson Koons (L) – All three return with significant college innings pitched, excited about their leadership.
Do you have an incoming impact freshman or transfers that will help the team in 2023?
Freshmen: Nick Holm (3B), Garret Ringer (OF), Trent Wainfeld (OF) Transfers: Cole Hoskins (SS), Jhett Jacquot (RHP)
What was the focus and what things did you see from the team in the fall?
The focus in the fall was building on a foundation that was set in the previous season. The team was able to get hot late last season and feel some success, so we identified drivers of that success and tried to build on it.
What are the expectations and goals for the team entering the season?
The expectation is to be competitive every weekend in a tough and balanced conference. We expect to execute and look up at the scoreboard in the 7th inning and have a chance in every game, whether we are up or down.
