Who are some key returning players for the team and what do you hope to see from each of them this year?
Micah Hagler, Sr. returning NPSL 4A League MVP (BA .463, ERA 1.96)(Bellevue College Commit). Expecting Micah to be a leader on the field and in the clubhouse this year. Leading a strong group of returning players. Peter Hollabaugh, Sr. 2022 NPSL Hon Mention SS (St. Martin’s Commit). Peter will also be a leader on the field and in the clubhouse, his strong bat should lead the team in 2023. Coleman Hollabaugh, Jr. 2022 NPSL 1st Team DH. Coleman is a very strong lefty bat that led the league in HR’s last season, he will be relied upon at the plate and in the OF as well as being one of the top pitchers on the team this year, already having touched 90MPH. Zach Hatcher, Sr. will also be a key contributor on the mound.
Who are some key underclassmen that are moving up in the program and can make an impact? What do you hope to see from each of them this year?
Quinn Bundy, So. spent some time with the Varsity last year as a freshman in the field and on the mound. He should continue to be a contributor. Dante Saladino, Fr. May come in as a freshman and have an impact right away, solid OF with speed and a strong bat. Ranked #7 in PBR Washington 2026 rankings.
What areas will you be focusing on early in the season?
Pitching depth should lead the way for Kennedy early on. Focus will be on developing the bats and increasing run scoring productivity early in the season. Due to a 19 game league schedule there will not be a lot of time for focused development as we head immediately into league play with the first week of league games after the Jamboree.
What are the expectations and goals for the team in 2023?
Kennedy Catholic’s goal for 2023 is to finish at the top of the NPSL 4A standings and make a deep run into the playoffs. This is a very senior heavy and experienced team that has high expectations for this year. According to Coach Dolejsi this is one of the top teams he has had in his 10 year tenure as head coach.
