1. What are some areas of your game that you have been focusing on lately to improve upon?
Not being the biggest or strongest guy, speed is a very important part of my game. I am always trying to improve my speed, but my biggest focus has been on gaining weight and getting stronger.
2. What are some goals and dreams you hope to reach in the next couple of years?
My biggest goal is for sure to play D1 baseball. But also playing baseball in college at any level would be amazing and is something I strive to do.
3. How long have you been playing baseball and what got you started in the game?
I started playing baseball when I was 10. What got me started playing baseball was my big brother. I used to go to all of his games growing up and I always wanted to do what he did.
4. What are some of your favorite things about the game of baseball?
I love how mentally tough baseball makes you. One day you can go 4-4 and feel like nothing can stop you, but then the next day you can go 0-4 with 4 strikeouts and feel like you never want to play again. Baseball is a game of failure and frustration and the game has taught me how to deal with it, learn from it and move on.
5. Who in your life has helped push you to be your best on the field?
My brother made a huge impact on me in baseball. He being the same kind of player I am, we can relate on almost everything when it comes to baseball, so he gives me a bunch of helpful advise whenever he gets the chance. Also, I can’t forget about my coach Craig Bishop and the rest of my coaches on the Merchants and at Inglemoor. They have helped me so much when it comes to baseball, and it can’t go unnoticed.
