1. What are some areas of your game that you have been focusing on lately to improve upon?
The thing I have been working on the most is to keep my front shoulder in while hitting, and not pulling off the ball. When I fail to keep my front shoulder in, I tend to roll over to second base or make weak contact. Another aspect of the game I have been working on a lot is getting stronger and faster.
2. What are some goals and dreams you hope to reach in the next couple of years?
My ultimate goal is to play in college and beyond. I want to be able to play the game as long as I can. If I could, I would like to play in the pac-12, but I would be grateful to play anywhere in college.
3. How long have you been playing baseball?
I have been playing baseball for as long as I can remember. My parents introduced me to the game when I was very young, and I have loved it ever since.
4. What are some of your favorite things about the game of baseball?
One of my favorite things about baseball is that there is no clock. You always have a chance to battle back and win unlike many other sports. Another thing I love is that it always humbles you. You can go 8-10 in a tournament and then go to 0-10 in your next at bats.
5. Who in your life has helped push you to be your best on the field?
This is a tough question, but if I had to pick it would be my dad. He always tells me how I can improve to get myself to that next level. If I ever need help or advice, I know he will always have my back and will help me improve.
