1. What are some areas of your game that you have been focusing on lately to improve upon?

I have been focused on locating and controlling my off speed lately. I have also been working on my endurance so I can go deeper into ballgames without getting tired. One other thing I’ve been working on is controlling emotion, through the highs and lows I need to stay level headed.

2. What are some goals and dreams you hope to reach in the next couple of years?

My goals for next year are to make first team all Wesco and to hit up to 89 mph on my fastball by this winter. A dream of mine is to play baseball at a highly regarded academic school. I also want to make a deep playoff run at Monroe.

3. How long have you been playing baseball?

I started playing baseball when I was about 5. What got me started was my parents signing me up for little league and taking me to Mariners games when I was little and from there I fell in love with the game.

4. What are some of your favorite things about the game of baseball?

Some of my favorite things about baseball are being able to build a strong connection with people through the sport. Another is that I get to compete on 2 fronts, both the physical front and the mental side of the game.

5. Who in your life has helped push you to be your best on the field?

People who have pushed me to be the best on the field are my whole family, from my brother and parents all the way to my grandparents. My friends and teammates have also pushed me to be my best. A lot of coaches have also pushed me to be the best that I can be.
