Great Northwest Athletic Conference

Central Washington vs Montana State Billings – If you are a fan of runs being scored this series had offense, followed by more offense and then a side of offense to go along with more offense. 90 total runs would be scored in the 4 game series. Central would win 3 of the 4 games, winning a 21-15, 7-6 and 10-9, but losing a 17-5 game. Tyler McClain (CW) would drive in 8 runs, in large part to a two home run game he would have on Friday.

Western Oregon vs St Martin’s – In a very different series from the other GNAC matchup, Western Oregon would sweep the 4 game series throwing 2 shutouts and a 1 run game. Mike Peterson (WOU) would go 8 innings striking out 9 and only allowing 1 hit, improving his record to 3-0 on the season, and Matthew Dunaway would throw a complete game (7 IP) striking out 8 and only giving up 1 hit to improve his record to 2-1.

Northwest Conference

Puget Sound vs George Fox – George Fox would get a big series win, taking 3 of 4 games, to push them into 4th in the conference. Sean Weise would have a strong outing for George Fox, pitching a complete game (7 IP) striking out 10 and only giving up 1 run.

Whitworth vs Pacific – Pacific would take 3 of 4 games keeping them in the top spot in the conference, tied with Whitman in conference winning %. Chase Anderson would have a monster weekend in the leadoff spot for Pacific. He would collect 9 hits, 3 home runs, score 8 runs and drive in 11 runs. 

Whitman vs Linfield – Needing to keep pace or better Pacific for the lead in the conference Whitman would win 3 of 4 to take the series and keep pace with Pacific. Garrett Runyan would tally 5 hits, 1 home run and collect 4 RBI’s.

Lewis and Clark vs Willamette – Both teams would enter this weekend needing a series win to help keep them in the top half of the conference. In the end it would be Willamette taking the series 3-1 to set them into 3rd place in the division. Ethan Fischel would hit 4 home runs on the weekend collecting 7 total hits and driving in 11 runs. Samuel Daly would also have a big weekend collecting 9 hits, 2 home runs, and driving in 6 runs.

Cascade Collegiate Conference

LC State vs Oregon Tech – LC State would go to Klamath Falls and make a statement sweeping the series, scoring at least 12 runs in each game and solidifying their #1 ranking in the conference. Matt James (LC) would hit 3 home runs over the weekend and total 10 hits and 7 runs scored.

Corban vs College of Idaho: Corban would travel to Caldwell, ID and come away with a split in the 4 game series. Dimick Wood (College of Idaho) would pitch a complete game striking out 10 and only giving up 3 ERs on his way to a victory. Nate Martin (Corban) would have a good outing going 7.1 IP only allowing 1 ER, and Zack Simon would pitch a complete game only allowing 1 ER to up his record to 5-2 on the season.
