First off some PAC-12 news. Oregon State Baseball would get the weekend gowing by throwing a combined No-No on Friday night against Univ of Washington. Kevin Abel, Joey Mundt, Chase Watkins and Jake Mulholland combine for the no hitter. It is the 5th no hitter in OSU history. OSU would go 16 innings before giving up a hit.

Great Northwest Athletic Conference

Northwest Nazarene vs St Martin’s – Northwest Nazarene continues its run through the conference as it sweeps St Martin’s in a 4 game set and improves their conference record to 11-1 and 17-3 overall. The pitching staff for NN would come up big only allowing 7 runs over the four games. All four starters for Northwest Nazarene would earn wins only giving up 1 ER; Spencer Schwehr (NN) 7 IP O ER, Shane Martin 6 IP 1 ER, Kyle Ethridge 6 IP 0 ER, and Ben Johnson 5 IP 0 ER.

Western Oregon vs Montana State Billings – With the exception of an 18 run blowout Western Oregon would put together a solid weekend winning 3 out of 4. Mike Peterson, Matthew Dunaway and Nick Parr would all earn wins for WOU, each only giving up 1 ER in each of their outings.

Northwest Conference

Willamette vs Puget Sound – In a 4 game series that seemed to have a little bit of everything, both Willamette and Puget Sound would both exit the weekend with 2 wins. Eric Waldichuck (Willamette) would throw 6 innings scattering 5 hits and combining with JD Willis on a shutout. Jonas Kim (PS) would collect 8 hits on the weekend for the Loggers.

Pacific vs Lewis and Clark – Saturday would be a day of offense for Pacific as they would score 37 runs in a tripleheader on Saturday and add another 14 on Sunday. Tyler Quinn (Pac) would have a strong weekend with 7 hits, 8 runs and 4 RBIs.

George Fox vs Pacific Lutheran – Pacific Lutheran would sweep a double header on Saturday but George Fox would bounce back with a win on Sunday before the final game of the series was rained out. Ben Willis would go 6 innings only giving up 3 hits and no runs to earn George Fox’s victory. Cole Trotignon and Jordan Haworth (PL) would both have big weekends with Trotignon going 5-9 with 2 home runs driving in 6 runs and Haworth going 5-10 with 2 home runs driving in 7 runs.

Linfield vs Whitworth – Both teams would enter the weekend series needing to get things going on the right track to help propel them through the rest of the season. In the end the series would go to Whitworth who would win 3 of the 4 games. Dylan Bishop would give Whitworth a great outing in his start over the weekend going 7 Innings allowing only 5 hits and no runs. Offensively Jaxsen Sweum (Whitworth) would drive in 7 runs.

Cascade Collegiate Conference

Corban vs Oregon Tech – Corban and Oregon Tech would go back and forth over the weekend splitting the series 2-2. Zack Simon (Corban) would improve his record to 4-2 on the season going 7 innings scattering 6 hits and not giving up a run. Dalton Daily (OT) would collect 7 hits helping get Oregon Tech’s offense going.

Eastern Oregon vs LC State – LC State continued their strong play through the conference with a 4 game sweep of Eastern Oregon. LC State would score 10+ runs in each game and only gave up 4 total runs over the weekend. Trent Sellers, Alec Holmes and Cameron Smith would combine to throw a 2 hit shutout in one of LC States victories.
