Who are some key returning players for the team and what do you hope to see from each of them this year?
Max Rodabaugh (23’) – Everett CC Commit and voted team Captain. Max is very good defensively receiving, blocking, and throwing. Looking forward to him moving up in the lineup this year and being an outstanding senior leader.
Reese Logsdon (25’) – Reese was our ace on the mound going 8-0 with a 1.85 ERA as a freshman including a state win against West Valley High School. When he wasn’t pitching he played short stop and excelled defensively. Looking forward to him continuing to develop on the mound and anchoring our rotation.
Will Jentoft (23’) – Will was a true utility player for us last year playing all around the infield and outfield as well as pitching when needed. Hoping he can get on base a lot this year as he’s always a tough at bat.
Sam Hershberger (24’) – Sam made big strides on the mound last year and I look for him to take a step forward getting more consistent opportunity. He has good stuff and mixes his off-speed in the strike zone.
Tommy Zook (24’) – Tommy is a 6’8” pitcher who is starting to get a feel for how his body moves. Looking for him to fill up the zone more consistently this year as hitters struggled to hit him when he was in the strike zone.
Who are some key underclassmen that are moving up in the program and can make an impact? What do you hope to see from each of them this year?
Jameson Crow (25’) – Jameson started at 2B as a freshman for us. Looking forward to seeing him develop offensively as he gets stronger.
Cole McCourt (25’) – Cole should help us out in the infield as well as on the mound this year. Plays the game hard and could find his way into the lineup.
AJ Bombach (25’) – AJ got reps in the outfield last year and showed a great ability to catch fly balls. He’s a left handed bat and can run.
What areas will you be focusing on early in the season?
Getting better offensively.
What are the expectations and goals for the team in 2023?
Looking to bring energy and compete in every game we play this year.
