How did your players handle losing the 2020 season?
Mount Si, after 3 years of having no home field due to construction, was set to hold their first on-campus games at the new high school after countless bus trips to other schools. The program was thrown another curveball March 12th, 2020 with the cancellation of the season. Our student-athletes have shown great resolve and persistence finding creative ways to work out and to stay in shape. As a group they focused on what they could control and making the best of it. They have done a great job looking out for their teammates ensuring they are all doing well during this challenging year. Mount Si Baseball was able to practice two times a week during the WIAA Season 2.0 from November 2020 to February 2021.
Key 2021 Class Players
Cameron Ferreri (C) – Ferreri is an experience catcher who is expected to be the starting catcher for the 3rd year in a row. He has committed to Yakima Valley CC. @cam_ferreri7
Dawson Schneider (P) – Schneider will be leading up a talented and deep pitching staff. He has also committed to Yakima Valley CC. @Dschnide15
Kevin Corder (INF) – Corder will bring his senior leadership, competitiveness, and speed to the lineup. Kevin can play multiple positions and expected to play SS and 3B this year. He has committed to Yakima Valley CC. @KevinCorder13
Key 2022 Class Players
Aidan Dougherty (OF/INF) – Dougherty is a talented all-around athlete who will bring speed and a quick bat. He is expected to play everyday. Verbal commit to Oregon State. @AidanDougherty7
Jake Smith (P, INF, OF) – Smith is expected to be a big contributor on the mound over the next two years. Has three strong pitches and command to throw all in any count. @JakeSmith2022
Jack Berg (P) – Berg is a talented left-handed pitcher with great command. Verbal commit to CSU Bakersfield. @jackberg30
Ryan Gerlitz (INF) – Gerlitz is a talented middle infielder that continues to gain strength and power. Speed and quickness make him a great baserunner. @ryangerlitz

Hopes, expectations, and goals for 2021
Mount Si goals remain the same even with a shortened 2021 season played with masks on. We will compete at the highest level while developing our student athletes, building accountability in all areas, and playing the game the right way. Wins will take care of themselves by controlling what we can control.
